The UK's Permaculture Convergence 2012
350 members of the Permaculture Association will come together to share knowledge, skills and practices or just meet and inspire new people at Coed Hills Rural Artspace in South Glamorgan this August at the 2012 Permaculture Convergence.
The Permaculture Association, which will celebrate its 30thanniversary next year, co-ordinates the biannual event for those who are interested in permaculture, who are just starting out or who have been practicing permaculture techniques for many years.
Over 80 workshops, presentations and practical demonstrations were on the schedule in 2010 and with eleven different ‘zones’ for this year, another amazing line-up is taking shape.
On the bill, permaculture authors Aranya and Looby Macnamara will present ‘Systems and Patterns’ and ‘People and Permaculture’ respectively.
Permanent Publications’ Maddy Harland will speak about the business side of permaculture in ‘Permaculture Outside the Box’ and meet practitioners Deano Martin (Wolds Woodland Farming Project), Hannah Thorogood (Regenerative Agriculture at the Inkpot, Lincolnshire) and Stefan Geyer who will answer “What is Permaculture?”
Furthermore, five people shall give their Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design accreditation presentation – each outlining projects they have been working on so are always inspiring to observe.
Plus there’ll be lots more!
The three-day event begins at 3.30pm on Friday August 24thuntil 4pm Sunday 26th August with camping available.
Entertainment features a Ceilidh on the Friday night and a Saturday night Cabaret served up with a bar in the barn.
